I hope they call me on a....

MISSION.

It's official, I've decided. I am going to serve a mission.

For the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Now, the decision wasn't easy. It was probably on my top ten hardest decisions I have ever made in my life, kinda thing

It took me forever. But somehow, all the frustration, tears, anger, consistent prayer and fasting all prove their worth now. I know what I am supposed to do.

I was never the one to say I was going to go. I never felt the WANT to serve, but somehow, in the past couple months, Heavenly Father placed the weight of a mission on my shoulders so I could faithully figure out what I needed to do.

He trusted me.

A lot of people think it's crazy. "You're leaving your family for 18 months, to do what? To go where? Teach people?" This is my response to those questions.

I'm leaving my family for a short period of time so that others can be with their families forever.

Touché.

Prayer was needed. It was something I relied on to receive my answer on whether or not I should serve. One morning, April 7th to be exact, I woke up with the strongest impression about a mission. I felt prompted to open my computer and go on Facebook.
Yeah, I know. FACEBOOK of all places.

I was just scrolling through the posts, like any normal person, when I came across a video, a video about David Archuleta. I opened the video, and it was about his mission. He had just recently returned with honor from his two year service and this video his experience as a missionary. A famous missionary.

Let's be honest. If David came in to teach me, best BELIEVE I would be freaking out.

To think that he was willing to put his singing career on the line to serve the Lord for two years is an example of true sacrifice. BUT, instead of forgetting about his talent he "left behind", he used it to inspire members that Heavenly Father is there and that he loves us unconditionally.

Here's Part 1. Watch them all.

I want to go on a mission because I want everyone to know about the gospel of Jesus Christ. I want everyone to feel his presence in their lives and see the blessings he gives. I want people to recognize that Christ is their savior who atoned for ALL their sins and imperfections. Christ is there to heal. He is there to love. Along with our Heavenly Father who has planned and given us everything. I want people to know that they can live with him again and that there is more than just this mortal life. I want everyone to feel the happiness the gospel brings me.
I want them all to know.

A mission wont be easy, but it will definitely be worth it.

And, to be honest...

I need to do something that has NOTHING to do with me.
